Package Overview

Istanbul is the largest city in Turkey and is a major location on the world tourism map. The main attractions of Istanbul vary from towering minarets to steamy bathhouses and underground Byzantine cisterns. Holidays in Istanbul will surely be memorable for travelers, whether one is travelling alone or accompanied by friends and family. The Blue Mosque, built in the early 17th century, gathers a lot of visitors every year and is one amongst the few mosques that have six minarets. The walls of this mosque have been decorated with elegant Iznik tiles and altogether, it is an architectural delight to watch. The compound of the Blue Mosque has a small park for its visitors to sit and relax. The Aya Sofya, also known as Hagia Sophia, is a church turned mosque that dates back to the 6th century and is a stunning Byzantine structure. The Basilica Cistern is another popular tourist site, witnessing high tourist footfall. This structure was built to supply water to the Great Palace that is located close to the Hippodrome. The Galata Tower, used as a watch tower during the Ottoman era, cannot be missed by travelers coming to Istanbul. This site actually lets visitors see the panoramic view of many historical sites located in the region, and when the haze is less they can even see Princes’ Islands located in Marmara Sea.
