Embark on a Full-Day Old City Tour. Begin with a view of the Aqueduct of Valens (from the bus), the oldest and most famous aqueduct in Istanbul’s inner city. Then, visit the Suleymaniye Mosque, the largest imperial mosque in Istanbul, renowned for its stunning architecture. Built by the legendary Court Architect Sinan under the order of Suleyman the Magnificent, the mosque also houses the mausoleums of Sultan Suleyman I and his wife, Hurrem Sultan (Roxelana). Outside the mosque walls, you’ll find the Tomb of Master Architect Sinan. Next, visit Rustem Pasa Mosque, built by the architect in 1561, and explore the Spice Bazaar (Egyptian Bazaar), where you can experience the mystical aromas of various spices.
After lunch(at own), enjoy a Bosphorus Cruise by regular ferry, offering spectacular views of both the European and Asian sides of Istanbul, with an opportunity to capture the unique beauty of the Bosphorus. From the boat, you’ll also see Rumeli Fortress, a historic fortification built by Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror to control and protect the Bosphorus. Continue with a view of the Golden Horn (from the bus), the natural harbor that separates the old and new parts of Istanbul, once home to Byzantine Jews, Italian traders, and other non-Muslim communities. Drive through Balat to view the Metal Church of St. Stephen the Bulgarian, the Jewish Hospital (Or-Ahayim), Fener Orthodox Patriarchate, and the impressive 22-kilometer-long Byzantine City Walls, one of the strongest fortifications of the Middle Ages.
Finish the tour with a cable car ride (teleferique) to Pierre Loti Coffee House for panoramic views. Afterward, return to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Istanbul.
