Itinerary
Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred by shuttle to your hotel. Later in the afternoon, explore Tokyo’s efficient metro system with a ride (tickets included) to the lively Shinjuku district. Experience the hustle and bustle of one of Tokyo’s busiest areas, known for its crowds, towering skyscrapers, and vibrant nightlife. After soaking in the energetic atmosphere, enjoy a delicious dinner before returning to the hotel by metro with your guide.
- In the morning, embark on a 5-hour guided tour to explore the vibrant city of Tokyo, where modern districts seamlessly blend with tranquil, traditional areas. The first stop will be Zojoji Temple, where you can capture a stunning photograph of the iconic Tokyo Tower. Be sure to take note of the hundreds of Jizo statues — traditional stone deities believed to protect travelers, offer strength to the weak (especially children), and safeguard those in perilous situations. These statues are often adorned with hats, robes, and small windmills.
- Next, we’ll visit the world-famous Shibuya Crossing, one of the busiest pedestrian junctions on the planet. We’ll also stop by the Meiji Shrine, dedicated to Emperor Meiji, his wife, and their spirits. Afterward, we’ll drive along the fashionable Omotesando Avenue before admiring the beautiful gardens surrounding the Imperial Palace. A photo stop at the iconic Nijubashi Bridge follows, offering a perfect view of the palace grounds.
- Continuing our journey, we’ll pass through Akihabara, Tokyo’s “Electric Town,” famous for its bustling electronics shops and its connections to Japanese Manga and Anime culture. We’ll also see the Kokugikan Sumo Stadium, home of Japan’s national sport. The tour will take us to Sensoji Temple, Tokyo’s oldest and most revered Buddhist temple, known for its impressive 55-meter-high pagoda.
- For some free exploration, we’ll visit Nakamise, a lively shopping street in Asakusa, where you can browse traditional shops and try local snacks. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant, offering a taste of authentic Japanese cuisine. Afterward, return to the hotel, where the afternoon will be free for you to relax or explore at your leisure.
- We will depart Tokyo for Kamakura, a former capital rich in temples, shrines, and gardens. Our first stop is Hokoku-ji, a Zen temple known for its bamboo forest (admission included) and traditional green tea. We will also visit Sugimoto-dera, Kamakura’s oldest temple, founded in 734. After some free time in the city center, we’ll see the iconic Great Buddha (Daibutsu), a towering bronze statue (admission included).
- Next, we’ll drive along the scenic Pacific coast before stopping at Enoshima, a small island connected by bridge, where you’ll have time for lunch and exploration.
- Finally, we’ll continue to Odawara, where we’ll visit the impressive Odawara Castle (admission included), a restored Edo-period fortress. Afterward, we’ll head to our accommodation for the night.
- Today, we visit the beautiful Hakone region, known for its lakes and Mount Fuji views. We start at Owakudani (Hell Valley), known for volcanic activity (access may be closed due to safety, in which case we visit Arakurayama Sengen Park). Then, explore the picturesque village of Oshino Hakkai and the lakeside town of Kawaguchiko, where we enjoy a scenic boat ride.
- We’ll climb Mount Fuji to the Fifth Station at 2,305 meters (access may be limited in winter). Afterward, we return to Kawaguchiko for free time by the lake. Our overnight stay is at a traditional Ryokan, with access to the onsen (hot spring baths). Dinner included.

- In the morning, we visit Iyashi no Sato Nenba, a restored mountain village and museum, once destroyed by a typhoon in 1966, now home to craft shops, restaurants, and traditional museums. Next, we admire the stunning Shiraito Falls, a 150-meter waterfall, before heading to Nagoya, Japan’s third-largest city on the Pacific coast. Here, we visit the Toyota Museum (admission included), a must-see for car enthusiasts. Finally, we continue to Kyoto for accommodation.
- Today, we explore Kyoto, Japan’s capital from 794 to 1868, home to the Imperial Court, and a city rich in artistic heritage. We begin with a visit to Arashiyama, crossing the scenic Togetsukyo Bridge and exploring Tenryuji Temple and its mystical bamboo forest. We then visit the iconic Fushimi Inari Shrine, Kyoto Imperial Palace, and the stunning Kinkakuji (Golden Pavilion). After some free time, we head to Gion, Kyoto’s historic district, famous for its Geishas.
- We travel to Nara to visit Todaiji Temple, home to a giant Buddha, where you can take photos and interact with the deer in the park. Lunch is included. Next, we visit Horyuji Temple, a World Heritage Site with one of the oldest wooden buildings in the world. We then head to Osaka, arriving in the evening. After check-in, we explore Dotonbori, a vibrant nightlife district.
- We head to Himeji to visit its impressive castle complex (entry included), showcasing classic Japanese architecture. Lunch is included. Next, we visit Korakuen Garden in Okayama, one of Japan’s most beautiful gardens, followed by the Kibitsu Shrine, famous for its 360-meter corridor and connection to the Momotaro legend. Afterward, enjoy free time in Okayama, a lively provincial capital.
- NOTE : On some dates, we may stay in Fukuyama or Kurashiki, in which case the Kibitsu Shrine visit will be replaced with a tour of Kurashiki.
- We begin with a visit to Kurashiki, a city with a beautifully preserved historical center, perfect for a leisurely stroll. We then head to Hiroshima, known for the 1945 atomic bombing. We visit the Peace Memorial Park, the A-Bomb Dome, and the Peace Memorial Museum. Next, we take a ferry to Itsukushima Island, home to the stunning Itsukushima Shrine and its iconic floating torii gate. After exploring the temple and the town, we return to Hiroshima for dinner and overnight accommodation.
